Freshteam Reviews 2022

Freshteam is the outcome of a ten-year journey from its parent firm, Freshworks, which focuses on cloud-based software and was launched in 2010.

PROS

+ "The free version provides decent value for a small business to manage simple tasks like recording personal time off."

+ "I'm quite impressed, and I'll be using it for the foreseeable future."

+ "Freshteam comes highly recommended by me to any firm looking to scale. It's quite simple to keep track of and interact with peers on this."

+ "Everything about this show appeals to me. Simple to use and customize to my company's needs."

CONS

- "I'm not sure if it's my computer, but my apps stop working after about 4 or 5 candidates."

- "The customer service was atrocious. They don't respond for four days, and the live chat feature isn't working either."

- "The job offer procedure is a little unclear and may be improved."

- "Job advertising was a pain, and keeping track of applications all over the place was a huge undertaking. Freshteam eliminates that time, and I now look forward to reviewing our applicants."

What exactly is Freshteam?

Freshteam is a cutting-edge human resource management system for expanding organisations. Freshteam allows you to recruit, hire, and onboard new employees, as well as offboard departing employees, manage employee information, and schedule time off, all in one spot.

Freshteam uses a variety of methods to recruit and source excellent talent, including a quickly customised career site, integration with many free and premium job sites, and social media. Once the candidates have been received, the recruiters and hiring managers can work together to screen and interview them, communicate opinions, leave notes for each other, and finally hire and offer the best candidates

Freshteam also allows HR to onboard new hires before their first day on the job - whether it's filling out paperwork, signing agreements, or handing out handbooks, Freshteam can accomplish it all in a few clicks. It also allows you to establish an onboarding task list and allocate it to the appropriate individuals. You can collect all of the essential data and establish employee profiles (which expand into a directory), control access permissions to employee data and documents, and so on.

Employee time off, employee and manager self-service for employees to submit requests, manager approval workflows, time off reports for teams and the entire organisation that provide a rapid glimpse into forthcoming leaves, absenteeism trends, and more are all covered by the HR software.

You can use the Android and iOS applications to perform crucial tasks on the fly.

Freshteam is part of the Freshworks product family, which has over 150000 customers globally, including Cisco, Honda, Chargebee, The Atlantic, JCDecaaux, and PharmEasy.

Plans and costs
To begin, we like the 21-day free trial and the fact that there is no credit card required during the trial. Also, you can pay for a plan monthly or annually, and if you pay for a year in advance, the price is reduced to include two months for free. There are no contracts or cancellation costs, which we appreciate. Finally, there is a no-cost option.

The lowest category is called Free, and it is completely free. Also, don't believe this is a limited-time deal; Freshworks explicitly states that it is "Free forever." It supports up to 50 employees, can publish up to three job listings, has an employee directory and email connectivity, and even offers mobile apps, but it lacks all of the support features.

As we move up a layer, we arrive at Growth, the most basic of the paid tiers. It has a low monthly fee of $1.20/employee, which seems reasonable until you understand that there is also a Platform Fee of $71/month, which is insignificant for a huge company but extremely hefty for a small one. This plan includes everything in the Free tier, but with the added benefit of being able to utilise it on an infinite number of employees and publishing up to 20 job posts. Additional capabilities include unlimited employee documents management, comprehensive phone, email, and chat assistance, time off approval workflows, and interview scheduling using Google and Outlook calendars.

The next tier, Pro, raises the cost to $2.40 per employee per month, as well as the Platform Fee to $119 per month. It comes with everything in the Growth tier, plus 100 job postings, additional user roles with configurable limits, e-sign software integration, and limitless work-week configurations.

The top Enterprise tier is $4.80 per employee per month plus a Platform Fee of $203 per month. This adds custom user roles, advanced leave reports, one-click data export, and a dedicated account manager to all of the capabilities of the lesser tiers.

Features

Freshteam is a cloud-based HR software that was created to meet the needs of today's busy HR departments. Applicant tracking, onboarding, employee information system, time off, and mobile are some of the topics it addresses. Within each module, there are a lot of useful and appealing features.

The 'Time Off Management' module, for example, is supposed to give a central site where employees can "track, approve, and manage all paid time off." It's more than simply a location to electronically fill out timesheets; it provides a lot of versatility to fit any business, as each has its own quirks. This contains 'Simple approval procedures,' which allow employees to seek time off effortlessly, and the manager to approve or deny the request in a logical manner. There's also 'Time Off Reporting,' which allows you to track not only time off balances, but also time off requests and when employees are unavailable. Absenteeism tendencies can be identified and handled using an AI technique.

Support

It's encouraging to discover that, among Freshteam's many support alternatives, there are some direct help options to pick from. When things get tough, it's good to be able to reach out directly to an actual person, rather than relying on a prewritten piece. As a result, we like that there is both a direct phone number to call (toll free, no less, though with today's calling plans, this is rarely an issue) and a chat box that is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is also a direct email address, rather than needing to go through a gateway, which is monitored 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Only a fax number's missing contact methods can be reported.

There are lots of pre-written materials available for individuals who are new to the platform or simply need more fundamental information on the processes, such as a detailed 'Cheat Sheet,' a complete video collection, and a comprehensive User Guide. There is also a thorough Knowledge Base; for example, under the Time-Off part of articles, you may find the article "Creating a Work Week."

FINAL WORDS:

Freshteams is a cutting-edge HR tool. Among the many advantages such as electronic timesheets and simple time off requests, the vast range of support options with excellent content in both video and text, the lack of contracts and cancellation costs, and the lack of contracts and cancellation fees are all huge pluses. Keep in mind the disadvantages, such as the nagging platform fees, the fact that phone assistance is less than 24/7 with no fax option, and the free tier's limited capabilities, which include a maximum number of employees of only 50. (although this may be fine for a cash strapped smaller business with the understanding that they hopefully will outgrow it at some point). Freshteams is, in general, more than deserving of consideration as your HR software.
